My journey into educational research began in the classroom. As a dedicated teacher, I loved my job, but I eventually felt a compelling need to pivot my career and explore the systems and theories that underpin effective learning. This led me to the world of educational research.
What I discovered was eye-opening: a wealth of amazing, rigorously-tested materials, strategies, and interventions created by talented researchers. However, that discovery quickly turned into a frustration: Why didn’t I know about all of this when I was teaching?
I realized that the vast majority of these incredibly helpful resources are often housed exclusively on university websites, buried in academic journals, or scattered across difficult-to-find digital libraries. Unless you already know where to look or have advanced search skills, this wealth of knowledge remains largely inaccessible to the people who need it most….practicing teachers!
Our Mission: Bridging the Gap
This frustration is the driving force behind this website.
The purpose of this platform is simple: to make educational research accessible, applicable, and ready-to-use for teachers.
We are building a centralized hub to help you find the evidence-based practices that can transform your classroom.
• Some resources will provide clear, synthesized summaries of complex research to make it immediately actionable.
• Other resources will link directly to high-quality, existing materials created by researchers.
This is more than just a website; it’s a movement to empower teachers with the best knowledge available
